Artwork from the Time Capsule exhibit

What a night! Huge thank you to everyone who came by to help us kick our new art gallery and event space into high gear over the past couple of weeks. You all shook your butts properly at Global Funk Excursion and then came right back for the opening night of our Time Capsule exhibit. If those events are any indication of what's to come, the future is looking bright over at Southside Preservation Society.

There is still some artwork available from the Time Capsule show. Have a look at the pieces below and email katie@burlesquedesign.com if you're interested. Local pickup is ideal, but if you'd like them shipped, let us know and we can work something out. Available until March 8, 2025.

The Next Exciting Chapter In The BRLSQ Story

From our humble beginnings writing and designing Life Sucks Die magazine inside the ol’ Spice Factory building while learning how to screen print on Wes’ homemade setup in his apartment basement to flexing and growing during our time at Stinson & Broadway to weathering the storm in Saint Paul Midway, the past 20+ years have been nothing short of a wild ride.

After an entire career renting spaces out of other people’s property, we are finally taking things to the next level with our very own building that 100% belongs to us.

Friends, family, and faithful followers, we are thrilled to welcome all of you to:

We bought a 5500 square foot warehouse building in South Minneapolis which will soon house our design and print operation. Plus, we’re bringing back the spirit of CO Exhibitions with an art gallery / event space with plenty of events in the works to celebrate and foster the creative energy of the Twin Cities.

Southside Preservation Society will be our home to grow, create, and share. It will be a home for design, screen printing, music, learning, performance, large outdoor murals, and more. So when we say this building belongs to us, it also belongs to all of you. It’s been a long time coming and we can’t wait to open the doors to invite you in!

”OK, so when can we come see it?”

Funny you should ask. Here are the first two official events and we'd love to see you there!
